How it began: When we sold my father's house - where I was raised - I wanted to take something that would remind me of all those fond memories of years gone by. On my last trip "home" I thought about all those old vintage crystal door knobs, so I took a set.
Instead of throwing them in a drawer, I wanted to create some sort of display; hmmm, two door knobs, two greyhounds with two leashes!
My "ah-ha" moment!
I even used my father's vintage jig saw to make my first whimsical dog leash hanger!

Dog leash caddies are unique, one of a kind dog leash hangers that captures the whimsical side of your dog to display in your home or for gift giving.
My dog leash hangers can be made with most AKC standard breeds or they can be customized to your preference; a whimsical likeness of your hound, perhaps you need a double leash hanger - like "Rose and Sienna's", or perhaps you would like different hangers, knobs, or plaque than those listed as standard options. You can choose from several standard breeds in my store or you can send an email with a picture of your hound to sandytisch@gmail.com.
Each dog leash hanger is individually designed and hand-crafted. Each head has a “3-D effect”; head, ears, collar, nose, depending on the breed you select.
On the About Our Caddies page you can see how my dog leash hangers are created and the materials used to make each dog leash hanger. You will also find a list of current dog breeds available, options to customize and personalize your dog leash hanger. The flea market season is upon us - I search for unique knobs to incorporate into the hangers. From time to time I post pictures knobs or hooks that we can use for your dog leash hanger. Check back frequently, I keep adding things!
On our Custom Order page you can send me an email if you have a special request. Send me a picture of your dog or cat or other pet and I can make a whimsical likeness, one-of-a-kind special dog leash hanger to display in your home! Perhaps your hound has special color markings you would like added; I can also personalize your dog leash hanger with a name. Greyhounds hold a special place in my heart and come in so many colors, I specialilze in greyhounds!
